Pedaling to camp at Halls Crossing, a trip across Lake Powell on “276 West” (ferry required!) the following morning and 45 hard waterless miles to camp post the Burr Trail switchbacks and just outside of Capital Reef on camp-anywhere BLM. Another tough 35 miles brings me to Boulder, Utah, 3,000 ft higher than the lake but with 3 restaurants, 2 country stores, free camping along a creek in Dixie National Forest and good folks, a good place to hang my hat.
