So I figured, too many passes from Lake City (8,700) to Telluride, opting instead to take Cinnamon Pass (12,600) over to Silverton (9,300) and staying at a hostel before taking the narrow-gauge train down some easy miles into Durango (6,500). Excited to be here, though now below 7,000 ft think that my mountain days may be over. Mesa Verde & Dolores next, or hitch back up toward Telluride; getting out the maps tomorrow!
