A climber? After a rest day at the brewery in Jackson, WY, a wet night squatting off Cache Creek Rd. A lift out of town the next morning only gets me to Moose, 20 miles short of regaining the Divide Route, but pedaling distance to the Climbers’ Ranch. In good company, hire an ice axe to climb South Teton, crossing paths with another gentleman along the ridge and together, route find to the summit! An ascent up Buck Mt. 2 days later gives me perspective; exposed and technical, I watch a great solo climber summit, from 1,000 below, safely wearing my borrowed bicycle helmet
